The exhibition space next to the Santos-Jundiaí Room at Espaço Expressa is now showcasing two new free exhibitions: “Spoils” and “Black & White.” Both exhibitions are open to visitors until March 31, 2025.
Designed and organized by the teams from the Department of Museums at the Professora Maria Ângela Borges Salvadori Historical Archive and the Department of Espaço Expressa Management, under the Culture Management Unit (UGC), the exhibitions highlight important historical and cultural elements of the city and the region.
Spoils
The “Spoils” exhibition offers visitors a glimpse into the daily life of railway workers from now-defunct companies that operated in the region, such as Cia. Paulista and Fepasa.
Items on display include a telegraph with a late-19th-century current generator, typewriters, radiograms, calculators, punch clocks, and televisions from various periods of the 20th century. The collection also features chairs, armchairs, and wheelbarrows in a variety of designs and materials.

Black & White
“Black & White,” on the other hand, showcases scenes from urban and rural life, with images from Jundiaí and other parts of the world. Highlights from the city include iconic streets such as Rosário and Barão, along with portraits of notable local figures such as teacher Deolinda Copelli and architect and former mayor Vasco Antônio Venchiarutti.
The exhibition also features records of Jundiaí’s cultural traditions, including religious processions and Paulista de Jundiaí football fans, as well as unique items like a giant chess set and easels signed by Frato, the pseudonym of Italian psychopedagogue Francesco Tonucci, emphasizing the importance of play for children.
Espaço Expressa is located at Avenida União dos Ferroviários, 1760, in the former Fepasa Complex. Admission and parking are free of charge.
